Splits generates training plans from the race date backward. The no-account wizard is free. An account lets you save a plan, receive mail, and connect a watch. Chris Schmitz operates Splits as sole proprietor. We may change or pause the service.
Terms
The rules for using Splits. Updated September 25, 2026.
The calendar is authored by a deterministic engine. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for a coach, doctor, or your own judgment. You decide whether to run the session in front of you.
If Splits later proposes an AI patch, that proposal is still software. It does not rewrite the plan until you accept it.
You are responsible for the email you use to sign in and for any watch account you connect. Do not connect someone else’s COROS account without their permission. Email chris@splits.coach to delete the account and saved plan.
COROS (and any later provider) is a third party. Their terms apply to the watch data. Splits only calls their API after you authorize it, and only to land completed work on your plan. Today that is a read of your sports list; we store the list row. We do not write workouts to COROS in this version. You can disconnect at any time.
We do not guarantee that COROS, Strava, or Garmin will keep their APIs available.
Do not probe, scrape, or overload the API. Do not use Splits to store or traffic illegal content. Do not impersonate another athlete. We may close an account that does.
The service is provided as-is. Training can injure you. We do not warrant a PR, a start, or uninterrupted uptime.
To the extent the law allows, Chris Schmitz is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost races, lost fitness, or lost data. Total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest still applies.
